Our mission

Luxury with deep pockets. Made by a woman who wanted them.

Somewhere along the way, fashion decided women didn't need pockets. We'd carry a bag instead. Pay for the bag. Hold the bag.

Barbara disagreed.

Nearly every piece has pockets deep enough to mean it: for your phone, a key, your hands when you don't know what to do with them, a shell you picked up on the way back from the water. Walk to the sea carrying nothing. That was the whole idea.

Fashion expires. The sea doesn't. Neither does a good pocket.

The atelier

Made by the woman who wanted pockets

Barbara spent two decades inside the world's great fashion houses, from Armani to Alexander McQueen, before founding Martina London from her Notting Hill studio. Every piece begins here, in Italian fabric, finished by hand. Including the deep pockets she could never find anywhere else.

Crafted with Intention

Martina London began in Notting Hill, with Barbara. Twenty years inside the great fashion houses, from the ateliers of Milan to the studios of London, taught her exactly what quality felt like. They also taught her what it was to hold a bag all day, because her dress had nowhere to put a phone.

So she made the clothes she wanted. Italian fabric, sewn by hand in the same European ateliers she had spent twenty years working with, cut to move. And every single piece has pockets deep enough to mean it.

Our Atelier

Crafted in London

Each piece begins as a sketch in our London studio. We source our fabrics from Italian mills whose looms have woven silk for the great houses of Europe since the 1800s, and every garment is then made by hand, one at a time, in the European ateliers Barbara has worked with her whole career.

The result is clothing that needs no introduction. It simply fits, moves, endures, and always has pockets.
